Ingredients

.5 oz.Vanilla Vodka
.75 oz.Pineapple Juice
1 DashGrenadine

Directions

  • Combine the Vodka and Pineapple Juice in a Shot Glass
  • Add the Grenadine and let float to the bottom

The is a Shooter designed to sort of look and taste like a Pineapple Upside Down Cake. It tastes good and pretty easy to drink for those who don’t like shots.

  • Pour the Whiskey and Pickle Juice in seperate Shot Glasses
  • Take the Shot of Whiskey
  • Take the Shot of Pickle Juice as a Chaser

The Pickleback was invented in 2006 after McClure’s Pickles asked to store some of their inventory in the basement of their neighbors, Brooklyn’s Bushwick Country Club. It was first done with Vodka, then Bourbon, and eventually Jameson Irish Whiskey became the Liqueur of choice. The name is possibly nod to the band “Nickleback.”

Aigua de València or “Valencian Water” was invented in 1959 by Bartender Constante Gil at Café Madrid de Valencia in, you guessed it, Valencia, Spain. It was invented after a group of people who were tired of ordering Augua de Bilbao (the bars best Cava) and challenged Constante to make something new. He created the Aigua de València and the rest is history. It became a popular Valencian Nightclub Drink in the 1970’s.

The Harry Navel is a cross between a Screwdriver and Fuzzy Navel. It’s stronger than the traditional Fuzzy Navel and sweeter than the Screwdriver.

  • Float the Galliano on Top
  • Garnish with an Orange Slice and Cocktail Cherry

The Harvey Wallbanger was invented sometime in the 1950’s. It hit mainstream, however, as a Disco Cocktail in the 1970’s. This cocktail is basically a Screwdriver with a Galliano float. It can be hard to see the Galliano because it blends in with the Orange Juice.

  • Shake for 15 Seconds
  • Strain into a Rocks Glass
  • Garnish with a Cocktail Cherry and Pineapple Wedge

The Pearl Harbor has a name that is perhaps in bad taste, however, the drink itself has a good taste. The name probably comes from the fact that Pineapples, for the most part, come from Hawaii, and Midori is a Japanese liqueur.

1 oz.Apple Schnapps (or Apple Liqueur)
.5 oz.Lemon Juice

  • Combine the Ingredients in a Cocktail Shaker with Ice
  • Shake for 15 Seconds
  • Double Strain into a Cocktail Glass
  • Garnish with an Apple Slice

The Appletini is easy on the Tini, as it is a Martini in name only. There are a couple different recipes for this drink, some involving Apple Brandy. This drink was featured extensively in the show Scrubs, being J.D.’s favorite drink.

The Roy Rodgers is a Mocktail named after the Actor and Singer of the same name. The Dirty Roy Rodgers, or Dirty Roy, is the alcoholic version of that.

White Russian

  • Combine the Vodka and Coffee Liqueur in a Rocks Glass over Ice
  • Stir till Combined
  • Top with the Cream

The White Russian was created in the 1960’s, when someone added Cream to a Black Russian. It gets its name from the Cream color and because Vodka is associated with Russia. The drink was heavily featured in the movie “The Big Labowski,” though it was called a “Caucasian” in the film.

  • Stir till Combined

The Black Russian was created in the 1940’s by Gustave Tops at the Hotel Metropole in Brussels, Belgium. It was supposedly created for American Ambassador Perle Mesta. It gets its name because the drink is a dark color, and Vodka is normally associated with Russia. This is a predecessor to the more famous White Russian. This is an Official IBA Cocktail.
