GarnishMaraschino Cherry

Directions

  • Pour the Grenadine and Lime Juice in a Highball Glass over Ice

The Shirley Temple is named after the famous Child Actress (and later a U.S. Diplomat) of the same name. Shirley Temple herself didn’t actually like the drink, however. It is believed that the Mocktail was invented at the Brown Derby restaurant in Los Angeles, California in the 1930’s. The drink was considered a drink for girls, and a similar Mocktail, the Roy Rogers, is considered a boys drink. The Alcoholic version of this drink is the Dirty Shirley.

Gimlet

Gimlet

2 oz.Gin
2 oz.Lime Cordial
GarnishLime Wheel

Directions

  • Combine the Ingredients in a Mixing Glass with Ice
  • Stir for 30 Seconds
  • Strain into a Coupe
  • Garnish with a Lime Wheel

The Gimlet is an old drink that dates back to the days of sailing ships and scurvy. It was made by sailors in order to get them their Vitamin C. Despite having Lime in the drink, it is still Stirred instead of Shaken. Apparently Lime Cordial isn’t considered a Citrus Juice. There are also recipes that substitute the Lime Cordial for Lime Juice and Simple Syrup, but at that point you aren’t making a Gimlet, you’re making a Gin Sour.

The Americano (not the coffee drink) was invented in the 1860’s by Gaspare Campari at his bar, Caffè Campari, in Milan, Italy. It possibly got its name from the American Tourists that ordered the drink. The drink is a twist on the Milano-Torino, which doesn’t have Soda Water. It also possibly inspired the Negroni. This is an Official IBA Cocktail.

The Apple Crisp is essentially a Vermosa spiked with Applejack. Cider can refer to different things throughout the world. In a lot of the world, Cider refers to the alcoholic beverage in Australia, but in the U.S., it is non-alcoholic. It doesn’t matter what you use. If you want a bit more of a punch, use the alcoholic kind.

1 PartIced Black Tea
1 PartLemonade
GarnishLemon Wheel

Directions

  • Pour the Iced Tea in a Highball Glass over Ice

The Arnold Palmer is named after the famous golfer of the same name. Apparently, he used to order the drink all the time, and some credit him with the invention of the drink. If you use sweet tea, it is a Winnie Palmer, named after his first wife. The spiked version of this drink is called a John Daly.

  • Stir till Combined
  • Top with Grenadine and let it float to the Bottom

The Bahama Mama is a vacation drink that is very in line with the Hurricane and Piña Colada. The drink has had its recipe tweaked over the years and nobody quite makes it the same way. The original contains Coffee Liqueur, but many recipes omit it. It adds a nice earthy taste to the drink, so I left it in.

The Bay Breeze is a close relative of the Sea Breeze and the Cape Codder. In fact, it was probably created as a result of the same circumstances that the Sea Breeze was created in.

1.5 oz.Simple Syrup
.25 oz.Cream

  • After cleaning the blender, Combine the remaining ingredients in it with Ice

The Beach Towel is a delicious two layered blended Daiquiri. If you want an even more tropical drink, Coconut Rum in place of the White Rum would not be out of place in this Cocktail. The Cocktail is very similar in look to the Miami Vice and Lava Flow.
