Tequila Sunrise

Ingredients

2 oz.	Tequila
4 oz.	Orange Juice
.25 oz.	Grenadine
Garnish	Orange Wheel
Garnish	Cocktail Cherry

Directions

Combine the Tequila and Orange Juice in a Highball Glass over Ice
Stir till combined
Top with Grenadine and let it float to the bottom
Garnish with an Orange Wheel, Cocktail Cherry and Straw

The Tequila Sunrise was invented in the early 1970’s by Bobby Lozoff and Billy Rice at the Trident Bar in Sausalinto, California. A member of the Rolling Stones tried it at a party in 1972 and started ordering it at bars across their tour, popularizing the drink. The tour was later known as the “Cocaine and Tequila Sunrise Tour.” In 1973, the Eagles wrote the song “Tequila Sunrise” in reference to the cocktail. This is an Official IBA Cocktail.

Shake for 15 seconds

Double Strain into a Cocktail Glass or Coupe

Garnish with 2 Cocktail Cherries

The Ward 8 (or Ward Eight) is a riff on the Whiskey Sour. The drink was invented in 1898 at the restaurant Locke-Ober in Boston, Massachusetts. It was named after a district in Boston in celebration of the election of Martin M. Lomasney to the State Senate.

Strain into a Tiki or Copper Mug over Ice

Garnish with a Lime Wheel, Cocktail Cherry and Straw

The Molokai Mule name is a lie. It is not from Molokai, nor is it a mule. It was invented in the Kon Tiki Restaurant in Tucson, Arizona. Despite the deception, it is still a pretty delicious cocktail.
