Ingredients

1 oz.Dark Rum
1 ozGold Rum
2 oz.Orange Juice
2 oz.Pineapple Juice
.75 oz.Grenadine
2 DashesAngostura Bitters
GarnishOrange Slice

Directions

  • Combine the Ingredients in a Rocks Glass over Crushed Ice
  • Swizzle with a Swizzle Stick until combined
  • Garnish with an Orange Slice and Cocktail Cherry

The Rum Swizzle, or the Bermuda Rum Swizzle, is the national drink of Bermuda. It is thought to have been invented in the 1800’s at Swizzle Inn in Hamilton, Bermuda. Swizzle Inn is the oldest bar in Bermuda and is the birthplace of Swizzle cocktails.

1 oz.Cognac (Brandy)
.5 oz.Gin
2 oz.Lemon Juice
1 oz.Orange Juice
.75 CupOrgeat
.5 oz.Sherry

Directions

  • Combine the Liquor, Fruit Juice and Orgeat in a Cocktail Shaker with Ice
  • Shake for 15 Seconds
  • Strain into a Collins Glass over Cracked Ice
  • Float Sherry over the Top
  • Garnish with a Mint Sprig

The Fog Cutter was invented by Victor Bergeron (Trader Vic) in the 1940’s. Like the Painkiller and Corpse Reviver No. 2, it was invented as a hangover cure. It is supposed to cut through the haze of the morning after heavy drinking.

The Hurricane was invented in the 1940’s at Pat O’Brien’s in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Hurricane is an iconic tropical drink that even had it own Glass named after it.

The Bronx is thought to have been invented by Johnny Solon at the Astoria-Waldorf Hotel in New York City. It got its name after Solon visited the Bronx Zoo. The drink is essentially a Perfect Martini, with the addition of Orange Juice.

  • Combine the Brandy and Bitters in a Collins Glass over Ice
  • Top with Ginger Ale

  • Garnish with a Long Lemon Peel around the Inside of the Glass and Straw

The Horse’s Neck was originally a Mocktail served without the Liquor and was created in the 1890’s. The Liquor was added in the early 1900’s and became known as “Stiff Horse’s Neck.” The alcoholic version became the main way to make it around the 1950’s. This is an Official IBA Cocktail.

Aigua de València or “Valencian Water” was invented in 1959 by Bartender Constante Gil at Café Madrid de Valencia in, you guessed it, Valencia, Spain. It was invented after a group of people who were tired of ordering Augua de Bilbao (the bars best Cava) and challenged Constante to make something new. He created the Aigua de València and the rest is history. It became a popular Valencian Nightclub Drink in the 1970’s.

The Harry Navel is a cross between a Screwdriver and Fuzzy Navel. It’s stronger than the traditional Fuzzy Navel and sweeter than the Screwdriver.

The Fuzzy Navel was invented in the 1980’s by Bartender Ray Foley in New Jersey. The name comes from the the fact that Peaches has fuzz on the outside and Navel is a type of Orange. If you substitute half of the Peach Schnapps for Vodka, it becomes a Harry Navel. The drink is very sweet, so adding the Vodka and making it more like a Screwdriver might be in some peoples best interest.

The Golden Dream is like a Dreamsicle flavored Cocktail with the addition of Galliano. It was created in the 1960’s at the Old King Bar in Miami, Florida by Raimundo Alvarez. It is a riff on the Golden Cadillac. This is an Official IBA Cocktail.
