The Broken Down Golf Cart is a sweet, easy to drink, low alcohol Shooter. The combination of Midori and Amaretto gives the shot a dirty green color that looks unappetizing, but looks can be deceiving.

  • Strain into a Rocks Glass
  • Garnish with a Cocktail Cherry and Pineapple Wedge

The Pearl Harbor has a name that is perhaps in bad taste, however, the drink itself has a good taste. The name probably comes from the fact that Pineapples, for the most part, come from Hawaii, and Midori is a Japanese liqueur.

The Japanese Slipper is an electric green sour that was created in 1984 by Jean-Paul Bourguignon in Melbourne, Australia. It gets it’s name from Midori, which is a Melon Liqueur from Japan.

1 oz. Orange Juice (or Pineapple Juice)

The Melon Ball is an 80’s Cocktail probably named after the Melon Baller, a kitchen utensil used to scoop balls of Honeydew, Cantaloupe, Watermelon and every other Melon. This drink is also commonly made into shooters.

1 oz.Vodka
.5 oz.Lime Juice
.5 oz.Lemon Juice
To TopSoda Water
GarnishLime Wheel

Directions

  • Combine the Alcohol and Citrus Juice in a Collins Glass over Ice
  • Top with Soda Water
  • Stir till combined
  • Garnish with a Lime Wheel and Straw

The Midori Sour is less of a Sour and more of a Highball. It was invented sometime in the 1970’s and later became a staple of 80’s Night Clubs. If you want an actual Sour, below is a recipe for the 3-Ingredient Midori Sour.

1 oz.Lime Juice
.5 oz.Egg White

Directions

  • Combine the Ingredients in a Cocktail Shaker
  • Dry Shake vigorously for 30 seconds
  • Add Ice to the Shaker
  • Wet Shake for 15 seconds
  • Double Strain into a Sour Glass or Coupe
  • Garnish with a Melon Ball
