The Appletini is easy on the Tini, as it is a Martini in name only. There are a couple different recipes for this drink, some involving Apple Brandy. This drink was featured extensively in the show Scrubs, being J.D.’s favorite drink.

Garnish with a Blood Orange Wedge
The Blood Orange Martini, like many other drinks, is a “Martini” in name only. Blood Oranges are less tangy than other oranges and provide this drink with an interesting deep red color that would be hard to replicate in other ways. If Blood Oranges are out of season or hard to find where you’re from, other oranges could be substituted in. This would, however, change the overall look and taste of the drink.
If you wanted a drink that is more in line with a traditional Martini, here is an alternative recipe.

The Espresso Martini is a “Martini” in name only. It was invented sometime in the 80’s. Dick Bradsell claims to have invented the drink at Fred’s Club in London, England. He says he made it for a young lady who asked for a cocktail that would “Wake me up, then fuck me up.” This is an Official IBA Cocktail.

Garnish with a Grapefruit Peel
The Grapefruit Martini, despite its name, isn’t an actual “Martini.” This drink is very sweet. Some recipes call for a little bit of Lemon or Lime Juice to bring down the sweetness a little bit. I find that to take away from the Grapefruit flavor, but to each their own.
