  • Express the Oil from the Orange Peel over the Top

The Between the Sheets is a riff on the Sidecar. It is thought to have been invented in the 1930’s by Harry MacElhone at Harry’s New York Bar in Paris, France. This is an Official IBA Cocktail.

  • Open Pour into a Rocks Glass
  • Top with more Cracked Ice
  • Slowly Drizzle the Crème De Mûre over the Top
  • Garnish with a Lemon Wheel and Blackberry

The Cuba Libre, or Rum & Coke, was created in Cuba in the early 1900’s. The name comes from a slogan from the Cuban Independence Movement and means “Free Cuba.” It became popular when Coca-Cola first started to be exported from the U.S. to Cuba. A Bacardi advertising executive, named Fausto Rodriguez, claims to have been present when the first one was poured in August 1900. He claims an American Soldier ordered Bacardi mixed with Coke and the rest is History. This is an IBA Official Cocktail.

To TopCream (or Whipped Cream)

Directions

  • Combine the Whiskey and Brown Sugar in an Irish Coffee Mug
  • Add the Coffee but leave room at the top
  • Stir till combined
  • Float Cream on top

The Irish Coffee’s origin is unclear, but is thought to have been created in Ireland in the 1940’s. It was made famous in the 1950’s after an American columnist, named Stanton Delphane had one in Ireland and asked Jack Koeppler, the owner of Buena Vista Café in San Francisco, California, to recreate it. The Lemon Drop Martini was invented in the 1970’s by Norman Jay Hobday at his bar Henry Africa’s in San Fransisco, California. It was named after the candy of the same name. In the 1990’s this became a popular shot. This is an Official IBA Cocktail.

The Long Island Iced Tea is a dangerous drink that contains a whole slew of different Alcohols. It’s easy to drink despite being very boozy. It got its name because it looks like an Iced Tea and is from Long Island. Which “Long Island” is up for debate, however. Some claim it was invented by Robert “Rosebud” Butt in 1972 at the Oak Beach Inn in Long Island, New York, while others claim it was invented in the 1920’s by “Old Man Bishop” in Long Island, Tennessee. This is an Official IBA Cocktail.

The Mojito is a evolution of an old 1500’s Cuban cocktail named El Draque. The modern version of the drink first appeared in the early 1900’s. This is an Official IBA Cocktail.
