The Trojan Horse, or the Guinness and Coke, is a simple two ingredient Cocktail. It is called the Trojan Horse because the Cola is supposed to hide the taste of the Stout like the Wooden Horse hid the soldiers in Greek Mythology. But is also begs the question, if you don’t like the taste of Guinness, why drink it?

  • Stir for 30 Seconds
  • Strain into a Rocks Glass over Ice
  • Garnish with an Orange Peel

The Suburban is an old Cocktail that was invented at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City. It was made for a Horse racer named James R. Keene and named after the Suburban Handicap Horse Race, where he raced his horses.

The Roy Rodgers is a Mocktail named after the Actor and Singer of the same name. The Dirty Roy Rodgers, or Dirty Roy, is the alcoholic version of that.

The Roy Rodgers is named after the Actor and Singer of the same name. This Mocktail was considered a “Boys Drink,” while its counterpart, the Shirley Temple, was considered a “Girls Drink.” The alcoholic version of this drink is called a Dirty Roy Rodgers, or a Dirty Roy.

The Cuba Libre, or Rum & Coke, was created in Cuba in the early 1900’s. The name comes from a slogan from the Cuban Independence Movement and means “Free Cuba.” It became popular when Coca-Cola first started to be exported from the U.S. to Cuba. A Bacardi advertising executive, named Fausto Rodriguez, claims to have been present when the first one was poured in August 1900. He claims an American Soldier ordered Bacardi mixed with Coke and the rest is History. This is an IBA Official Cocktail.

The Long Island Iced Tea is a dangerous drink that contains a whole slew of different Alcohols. It’s easy to drink despite being very boozy. It got its name because it looks like an Iced Tea and is from Long Island. Which “Long Island” is up for debate, however. Some claim it was invented by Robert “Rosebud” Butt in 1972 at the Oak Beach Inn in Long Island, New York, while others claim it was invented in the 1920’s by “Old Man Bishop” in Long Island, Tennessee. This is an Official IBA Cocktail.
