.5 oz.Galliano
.5 oz.Hot Espresso
.5 oz.Cream

Directions

  • Pour the Galliano in a Shot Glass
  • Layer Espresso on top
  • Layer Cream on top of the Espresso

The Hot Shot is one of the rare shots made hot, hence the name. It is a novelty shot straight out of the 90’s.

1 oz.Coffee Liqueur
1 oz.Irish Cream
1.5 oz.Cream
GarnishChocolate Shavings

Directions

  • Combine the Ingredients in a Cocktail Shaker with Ice
  • Shake for 15 Seconds
  • Strain into a Cocktail Glass or Coupe
  • Garnish with Shaved Chocolate

The Mudslide was invented in the 1970’s at the Wreck Bar in the Cayman Islands. This dessert Cocktail was originally made as a riff on the White Russian. For something more sweet and creamy you can make a blended version with Ice Cream.

Blended Mudslide

1 oz.Vodka
1 oz.Coffee Liqueur
1 oz.Irish Cream
3 ScoopsVanilla Ice Cream
GarnishChocolate Syrup
GarnishChocolate Shavings

Directions

  • Combine the Ingredients in a Blender
  • Blend till Combined
  • Drizzle Chocolate Syrup on the inside of a Cocktail Glass or Coupe
  • Pour the Blender Contents into the Glass
  • Garnish with Chocolate Shavings

White Russian

2 oz.Vodka
1 oz.Coffee Liqueur
1 oz.Cream

Directions

  • Combine the Vodka and Coffee Liqueur in a Rocks Glass over Ice
  • Stir till Combined
  • Top with the Cream

The White Russian was created in the 1960’s, when someone added Cream to a Black Russian. It gets its name from the Cream color and because Vodka is associated with Russia. The drink was heavily featured in the movie “The Big Labowski,” though it was called a “Caucasian” in the film.

  • Combine the Ingredients in a Rocks Glass over Ice
  • Stir till Combined

The Black Russian was created in the 1940’s by Gustave Tops at the Hotel Metropole in Brussels, Belgium. It was supposedly created for American Ambassador Perle Mesta. It gets its name because the drink is a dark color, and Vodka is normally associated with Russia. This is a predecessor to the more famous White Russian. This is an Official IBA Cocktail.

Bahama Mama

1.5 oz.Dark Rum
.25 oz.Coffee Liqueur
1 oz.Malibu
2.5 oz.Orange Juice
1.5 oz.Pineapple Juice
.5 oz.Lime Juice
.25 oz.Grenadine
GarnishPineapple Wedge
GarnishCocktail Cherry

Directions

  • Combine the Alcohol and Fruit Juice in a Hurricane Glass over Ice
  • Stir till Combined
  • Top with Grenadine and let it float to the Bottom
  • Garnish with a Pineapple Wedge, Cocktail Cherry and Straw

The Bahama Mama is a vacation drink that is very in line with the Hurricane and Piña Colada. The drink has had its recipe tweaked over the years and nobody quite makes it the same way. The original contains Coffee Liqueur, but many recipes omit it. It adds a nice earthy taste to the drink, so I left it in.

1 oz.Milk

  • Combine the Ingredients in a Blender with Ice
  • Blend till Combined
  • Drizzle Chocolate Syrup on the inside of a Hurricane Glass
  • Pour the Blender Contents into the Hurricane Glass
  • Garnish with a Banana Slice and Straw

The Dirty Banana is a delicious and Chocolaty Dessert Cocktail that is popular in many Caribbean Resorts.

1.5 oz.Chilled Espresso (or Cold Brew)
.25 oz.Simple Syrup (Optional)
GarnishCoffee Beans

  • Combine the ingredients in a Cocktail Shaker with Ice
  • Shake for 15 Seconds
  • Strain into a Cocktail Glass
  • Garnish with 3 Coffee Beans

The Espresso Martini is a “Martini” in name only. It was invented sometime in the 80’s. Dick Bradsell claims to have invented the drink at Fred’s Club in London, England. He says he made it for a young lady who asked for a cocktail that would “Wake me up, then fuck me up.” This is an Official IBA Cocktail.

1.5 oz.Irish Whiskey
2 TablespoonsBrown Sugar
To TopHot Coffee
To TopCream (or Whipped Cream)

Directions

  • Combine the Whiskey and Brown Sugar in an Irish Coffee Mug
  • Add the Coffee but leave room at the top
  • Stir till combined
  • Float Cream on top

The Irish Coffee’s origin is unclear, but is thought to have been created in Ireland in the 1940’s. It was made famous in the 1950’s after an American columnist, named Stanton Delphane had one in Ireland and asked Jack Koeppler, the owner of Buena Vista Café in San Francisco, California, to recreate it. This is an Official IBA Cocktail.
