.5 oz.Triple Sec
1 oz.Pineapple Juice
To TopChilled Champagne (Sparkling Wine)

Directions

  • Combine the Vodka, Triple Sec and Pineapple Juice in a Mixing Glass with Ice
  • Stir for 3o Seconds
  • Strain into a Cocktail Glass
  • Top with Champagne
  • Stir till Combined
  • Garnish with a Pineapple Wedge and Cocktail Cherry

The Flirtini is a Cocktail with both Champagne and Liquor like the French 75 and Old Cuban. It supposedly gets its name from being a very Romantic and Flirtatious Cocktail.

The French 75 is named after a field gun from World War 1. It is thought to have been originally created in the 1920’s, but some believe it was created in 1915 at a bar in Paris, France. It has since inspired a couple of spin-off drinks in the French 76, which uses Vodka, and the French 77, which uses Elderflower Liqueur. This is an Official IBA Cocktail.

The French 76, like the French 77, is a variation of the French 75. The main difference is the the French 75 is made using Gin, while this drink uses Vodka as its base liquor.

Like the French 76, the French 77, is a variation of the French 75. Unlike the French 76, however, the drink had to be rebalanced because it substitutes a Liquor for a Liqueur. There is no Simple Syrup in this because sweetness comes from the Elderflower Liqueur.

The Lemosa is a Lemonade Mimosa with Blueberries. Not much more to say about it.

The Megmosa is just a Grapefruit riff on the Mimosa. According to Urban Dictionary, it was created by a person named M. Sheppard. It is also apparently popular on the U.S. East Coast.

The Mimosa, originally named Champagne Orange, is a riff on the Buck’s Fizz. This famous brunch cocktail is thought to have been invented by Frank Meier in Paris, France. This is an Official IBA Cocktail.

The Old Cuban was invented in 2001 by legendary bartender, Audrey Saunders, while she worked at a restaurant named Beacon in New York City. This is an Official IBA Cocktail.

The Poinsettia is a Christmas cocktail that is the Cranberry version of a Mimosa. Like the Mimosa, the Poinsettia is also named after a flower, a flower that is associated with Christmas.

The Price of Wales is a riff of the Improved Whiskey Cocktail. It was invented by King Edward VII in the early 1900’s. At the time, he was just the “Prince of Wales,” thus the name of the drink.
