The Ramos Gin Fizz is a riff on the Gin Fizz, thought it barely resembles it. It was invented in 1888 by Henry Charles Ramos at the Imperial Cabinet Saloon in New Orleans, Louisiana. This Cocktail is a pain in the butt to make, so I wouldn’t recommend ordering it at a Bar unless it is on the menu. It was so popular, and such a chore to make, that Ramos apparently had a whole staff of “Shaker Men” constantly shaking this Drink. This is an Official IBA Cocktail.
