  • Combine the Ingredients in a Rocks Glass over Ice
  • Stir till Combined

The Dirty Mother is the Brandy equivalent to the Black Russian. If you add Cream like the White Russian, it becomes a Dirty White Mother.

The oldest records we have of the Toronto are from 1922. It is unclear if the drink originated in Toronto, or is just named such because it specifies Canadian Whiskey.

The Hankey Panky was invented in the early 1900’s by Ada Coleman at Savoy Hotel in London, England. It was supposedly made for and named by actor Sir Charles Hawtrey after he shouted “By Jove! That is the real hanky-panky!” The drink is very similar to the Martinez. This is an Official IBA Cocktail.

The French Manhattan is a riff on the Manhattan. It possibly got its name from the French Martini. The French Manhattan, however, is closer to the Manhattan than the French Martini is to the Martini. You can use Chambord to make it closer to the French Martini if so desired.

The Improved Whiskey Cocktail was invented sometime in the 1800’s and was supposed to be an “improvement” to the Old Fashioned. This isn’t the only “improved” Cocktail as there is also the Improved Gin Cocktail and the Improved Brandy Cocktail.

The Cold Fashioned is obviously a riff on the Old Fashioned. The name is just taking the “C” from coffee and adding it to “Old Fashioned.”

The French Connection’s origins are unknown, but was created sometime in the 1970’s. It is similar to the Godfather, which uses Whiskey instead of Cognac. Like the Godfather, the French Connection is named after a film of the same name. This is an Official IBA Cocktail.

.5 oz.Dry Vermouth
.25 oz.Maraschino Liqueur
2 DashesOrange Bitters
RinseAbsinth

  • Combine the Ingredients in a Mixing Glass with Ice
  • Stir for 30 Seconds
  • Strain into the Absinth rinsed Glass
  • Garnish with an Orange Peel and Brandied Cherry

The Tuxedo No. 2 is a Martini variation and sequel to the Tuxedo, however, it is similar to the Turf Club. Like the original, it is also named after Tuxedo Park, an elite community in upstate New York. This is an Official IBA Cocktail.

The Turf Club is a Martini variation that is similar to the Tuxedo No. 2. It was invented in the 1870’s and was almost exactly the same as the Martinez. It was later reinvented by Harry Johnson to become the recipe it is today.

  • Stir for 30 Seconds
  • Strain into a Rocks Glass Over Ice

The Godfather is a drink from the 1970’s and was named after the film The Godfather. The drink is similar to the French Connection, which uses Brandy instead of Scotch. The drink has also spawned some spinoffs including the Godmother, which uses Vodka, and the Grandchild, which uses Cream.
