Planter’s Punch

Ingredients

3 oz.	Dark Rum
1 oz.	Simple Syrup
.75 oz.	Lime Juice
3 Dashes	Angostura Bitters
To Top	Soda Water Optional
Garnish	Mint Sprig

Directions

• Combine the Ingredients in a Tumbler, Terracotta or Hurricane Glass with Cracked Ice
• Stir till Combined
• Garnish with a Mint Sprig and Straw

Planter’s Punch is a Cocktail from the late 17th Century. Some hotels in South Carolina claimed to have invented the drink, but it was more than likely created in Jamaica. This is an Official IBA Cocktail.
