Gin Sling

Ingredients
| 1.5 oz. | Gin |
| 1 oz. | Sweet Vermouth |
| .75 oz. | Lemon Juice |
| .5 oz. | Simple Syrup |
| 2 Dashes | Aromatic Bitters |
| To Top | Soda Water |
| Garnish | Lemon Twist |
Directions
- Combine the Gin, Vermouth, Simple Syrup, Lemon Juice and Bitters in a Cocktail Shaker with Ice
- Shake for 15 Seconds
- Double Strain into a Sling or Collins Glass over Ice
- Top with Soda Water
- Stir till Combined
- Garnish with a Lemon Twist and Straw
The Gin Sling is a modern rendition of a very old drink. The original Slings were made from sugar, water, nutmeg and a spirit. The name “Sling” actually comes from the German word Schlingen, meaning “To Swallow”. The most famous Sling is the Singapore Sling.
