Prince of wales

Ingredients
| 1.5 oz. | Rye Whiskey |
| 1 Barspoon | Maraschino Liqueur |
| 1 | Pineapple Chunk (or .5 oz. Pineapple Juice) |
| .25 oz. | Simple Syrup |
| 2 Dashes | Angostura Bitters |
| To Top | Chilled Champagne (Sparkling Wine) |
| Garnish | Lemon Slice |
Directions
- Combine the Whiskey, Maraschino Liqueur, Simple Syrup, Pineapple and Bitters in a Cocktail Shaker with Ice
- Shake for 15 seconds
- Double Strain into a Cocktail Glass or Coupe
- Top with Champagne
- Garnish with a Lemon Slice
The Price of Wales is a riff of the Improved Whiskey Cocktail. It was invented by King Edward VII in the early 1900’s. At the time, he was just the “Prince of Wales,” thus the name of the drink.
